Reporting to the Manager Shared Services and SIMOPS, the Onshore Logistics Coordinator supports safe and efficient project execution consistent with regulations and Suncor standards. Working closely with third party services/contractors, the Project team and Terra Nova Operations, the candidate will manage daily logistics of both cargo and personnel to and from the MODU to ensure the timely execution of all operations without delay. During rig intake operations, the Onshore Logistics Coordinator will co-ordinate and liaise closely with third parties and the rig contractor to plan equipment placement and plan for operations.
This is a temporary requirement (contract) for approximately one (1) year with an estimated commencement date of May 2026, and potential for extension.
Accountabilities
• Developand execute daily and weekly logistics plans, including scheduling andcoordination of vessels, helicopters, and cargo movements.
• Manageengagement with service providers to ensure cargo readiness, adherence tosailing schedules, and accurate vessel loading plans and voyage updates alignedwith offshore operational requirements.
• Track and report material status using Kabal to ensure alignment with offshore demand and operational priorities.
• Supportmanagement of backload materials, waste, and equipment returns from offshore incollaboration with offshore logistics personnel.
• Coordinatewith the marine base, vessel providers, and fuel suppliers to ensure vesselsare properly resourced, utilized and dispatched on time.
• Monitorvessel performance vs. plan, escalating delays, deviations, or weather impactsas required.
• Serveas the primary Project onshore logistics coordination contact for internalteams, including Terra Nova Operations, and external contractors.
• Participatein daily/weekly logistics planning meetings with Operations, Drilling,Maintenance, Construction, and Marine.
• Supportemergent and unplanned logistics requirements with flexibility and effectiveprioritization.
• Maintainstrong working relationships with aviation, marine, warehousing, transport,fuel, and waste management contractors.
• Supportafter hours logistics requirements including emergency ad hoc personnelmovements.
Minimum Requirements
• 12years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably logistics orrelated operations offshore.
Skills and Knowledge
• Post-secondaryeducation in logistics, supply chain, operations management, or a related fieldis considered an asset.
• Previousexperience with Suncor East Coast operations will be considered an asset.
• Knowledgeof safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements in logistics operations
• Musthave knowledge of CAPP standards for lifting & hoisting as well as DNV2.7.1
• Proficiencywith DaWinci, Kabal, SAP, Keystone, and Microsoft Office (or similarlogistics/ERP systems) considered an asset.
• Musthave knowledge of drilling, completions, and interventions tools and equipment
• Familiaritywith safe storage and stowage of offshore/downhole equipment and materials
• Excellentcommunication and problem-solving skills
• Legallyauthorized to work in Canada
• Stronginterpersonal and communication skills working with a diverse group of people
Location and Travel Requirements
• This position will be primarily located in St.John’s NL
• This position may require periodic travel to various local sites (e.g. marine base,contractor offices, etc.) and possibly international sites leading up to theoffshore execution phase; and
• Offshoretravel may be required to / from the Terra Nova field (offshore Newfoundland,Canada) during key offshore execution periods.
Work Schedule
• The hours of work are forty (40) hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Provide weekend on call support on a rotational basis.
