About the Role

The role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant planning and execution of well intervention, workover, and P&A operations. This includes providing HSSE leadership, acting as the primary coordination point between the Client and all internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring contractual, technical, administrative, and operational requirements are met. The position oversees well engineering design reviews, risk management, cost and schedule control, procurement support, and day-to-day operational support to ensure well objectives are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal environmental impact. Strong engagement with service companies, regulators, and partners is essential, as is continuous improvement through lessons learned, reporting, and the adoption of best practices and new technologies.

Employment Type: Contractual, full-time (1-2 years).

Responsibilities

The duties will include, but will not be limited to:

· Promote health, safety and environment policies in all aspects of assigned work

· Shall assist Client in Preparing technical scopes for any tendering activity · Required to attend morning operational meetings/other meetings

· Be focal point of coordination between Clients on all matters related to contract execution like personnel deployment, invoicing, notices, documentation, permissions, statutory matters etc for smooth execution of the Contract.

· Be responsible for all administrative and operational execution matters · Be required to plan and provided deliverables under the contract in a time bound manner.

· Be responsible for providing any reports to Client regarding the contract as and when required.

· Attend coordination/interface meetings with other departments including other third parties/consultants involved in this project

· Make presentations to Client’s upper management regarding the scope of work · Implement project goals and objectives in all phases of the project

· Establishment of workspace communications and focal point contacts with Client and other sub-groups of well intervention process.

· Shall provide review and authorisation of all provided Well Engineering & Design Reports

· Identify data requirement to carry out the campaign successfully.

· Ensure that well intervention and maintenance operations are carried out in a safe manner and that well objectives are achieved on time within budget, and without any adverse effect on the environment

· Support the management of well intervention operations on a day-to-day basis

· Along with assigned Operations Superintendent, ensure that the morning call to the rig is conducted to discuss HSSE performance, operational performance and the planned activities over the next 24 hours, the conditions accounted in the well and any revisions to the well intervention design or well programme and procedures that may result · Ensure cost efficiency and reduce wastage throughout well programme execution phases

· Contribute ensuring compliance with both regulations and company procedures and handle non-conformities as required

· Identify risks to people and the environment and mitigate them so they are as low as reasonably practicable

· Carry out the necessary engineering calculations and studies to ensure that the well intervention / workover / P&A operating practices achieve the well objectives in the most efficient manner whilst ensuring that the risks of unplanned release of fluids from the well are ALARP.

· Work with team to ensure that well objectives are clearly understood and managed

· As required, assist with well interventions and maintenance input to Contracts and Procurement in the preparation and execution of an appropriate tendering strategy and evaluation

· Ensure that all long lead well intervention equipment and upgrades are specified, tendered, ordered and procured in a timely optimum manner to meet the overall well operations planning schedule

· Work with the service providers, vessel operators and the operations teams to ensure all Safety Case, Environmental and vessel operational issues are dealt with in a timely and effective manner

· Maintain close contact with service companies to ensure that latest well intervention techniques and equipment are proposed and deployed in a timely and effective manner. Monitor service company performance to ensure best in class service is delivered consistently across all Well intervention and operations

· Review prepared well operations programmes to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and recognised best practices · Ensure that the lessons learned from the planning and operational phases are documented, embedded and disseminated

· Ensure that an accurate End of Job Report is issued in a timely manner for all well intervention / workover and P&A operations

· Will assist Review of prepared deterministic and probabilistic well operations time and cost estimates for AFE purposes

· Monitor all well operations spend within responsibility to ensure operations are undertaken within planned budgets

· Will, where required, prepare or endorse written amendments to the programme for approval and gain dispensation from the relevant authority when appropriate

· Strive to improve well services operations by introducing appropriately researched new technology, applications, procedures and methods

· Shall control, maintain and report on progress during the Intervention / Workover and P&A operations and manage the post-well operations reporting process including QC of daily report data

· Liaise with external bodies such as C-NLOPB, Well Examiner and partners, as required

Requirements

• Shall possess Engineering degree or equivalent

• Shall possess valid IWCF (level 4) or equivalent well control certificate

• Shall have minimum experience of 20 years managing Completion / Intervention projects. With 5 years’ experience in offshore drilling operations on an installation fitted with similar equipment

• Shall have minimum experience of 10 years of design, planning and execution of Completing Subsea wells.

• Shall have experience of design, planning and execution of at least 3 wells that had completion/intervention operations from horizontal x-mas tree. Significant work experience of managing the planning and execution of Interventions and Well operations is required along with evidence of managing well integrity (both monitoring and testing/maintenance)

• Demonstrable experience of preparing well operations budgets and time/cost estimates is also required, along with evidence of budget/cost management.

• Comprehensive knowledge of well intervention, well integrity and well maintenance disciplines, along with strong problem solving skills and an ability to act decisively.

• Verification of education, professional qualifications, and relevant offshore well engineering experience prior to assignment will be required

All personnel assigned to this role must hold and maintain valid offshore safety and survival training as required by the C-NLOPB and applicable offshore regulations (NOC 82021). Training compliance will be verified as part of the interview process and monitored throughout the term of employment.
